Everett Animal Welfare Group, Inc.

We began simply by responding to the neglect of cats and kittens on the streets through trap, neuter and return. Adoptable kittens and adults needed temporary care until adopted. We want to be a part of the no-kill movement by preventing animals from entering kill shelters through spay /neuter /ear tipping of outdoor community cats and through spay and neuter of community members pets.We have been doing this work for 10 years now but only recently became a 501C3 in order to expand our reach and to honor and remember Barney Everett and his efforts to bring TNR to Suwanee county Florida. in the last 2 years of his life he transported more than 982 mostly trapped cats for spay and neuter.

Meet Luna

Considering this sweet girl didn't start out her journey inside a warm cozy house with someone to care for her ...she sure was at the right place at the right time. Her foster mom said she was found hanging around her office warehouse for a couple of months in the winter of 2023 and she was able to take her home right after Christmas. It was during that terrible cold weather Pensacola was experiencing, and her foster mom says she has really adjusted well to her new indoor life. She is ready and hoping to find her forever home.  While Luna hasn't had the opportunity to be around children in her foster home--she has been exposed to her foster mom's only cat (8 years old) . While Luna wants to be friendly, the feeling hasn't been mutual. While Luna may be totally fine as an "only kitty," h er foster mom thinks Luna would really like another kitty companion or another pet in her new home. She is so loving and sweet. If you are looking for a kitty who is out of that "pin teeth" kitten stage and will be right there when you're ready to love and play with her--Luna is your girl! She seems to easily adjust to whatever is around her. She's fun to watch when she entertains herself with toys and rolls around on the rug. Maybe she's practicing her kitty yoga? Her favorite toy is her Catnip Banana! She can be goofy one minute and laid back ready to cuddle and knead at a moment's notice. She's just an all-around great cat!   If you ask her if she's ready to eat when you're fixing her dinner, she will carry on a whole conversation with you as long as you want to talk. Her foster mom says she will sit on the arm of the couch and watch her in the kitchen. She just likes to be where her humans are.  She's just too funny! Luna is one of those precious kitties who just wakes up every morning looking for someone to love. That's where you come in.  (No pressure!)  She has already been spayed and is up to date on all of her shots.  If you would like to meet Luna, please fill out one of EAWG's Cat Adoption Applications at the Info/Forms tab on this website and be sure to put "Luna" on the form so we will know you want to introduce yourself! She can't wait to meet you. :-)

Adoption Process
Adopt to indoor-only homes and no declawing. All cats over 4 months of age are spayed or neutered before adoption; cats under 4 months old are adopted with a voucher for spay /neuter as kittens need their fvrcp series before entering clinics for surgery to avoid parvo. Contract gives right to home visit, rehoming, kitten spay by date, no declaw. Minimum adoption fee donation is $65 adults and $75 kittens and includes spay/neuter, utd on shots, microchip.

Look for other cats for adoption!
