Passion 4 Paws

Mission Statement: Our Mission is to rescue homeless, abandoned, neglected, or abused dogs. By working with committed volunteers, already established veterinarians and trainers, we will nurture, provide medical care, and rehabilitation to these animals while providing a safe and loving "cage-free" environment for as long as it takes to find them adoptive homes. Our Vision: Our vision is to decrease the amount of dogs put to death every year, and prevent cruelty and suffering to all animals. Through humane education via our resources and educational classes, we aim to increase public awareness regarding the over population of adoptable animals in municipal shelters and beyond, and to that end we are firmly committed to:-Rescuing dogs from municipal shelters that are in danger of being euthanized-Educating the public on the importance of responsible pet ownership, including spaying and neutering of companion animals and micro-chipping pets-Advocating for animals through political participation with our Community representatives

Meet Marcie

IN VERMONT Meet Marcie!  https://youtu.be/9Avhga1BLT0 Marcie is 10 months old (approx. DOB 4-4-22), female, 40 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and micro-chipped. This beautiful southern girl was found at an overcrowded shelter in SC out of time! This sweet petite is a social butterfly, tested well with other dogs at the shelter, may be ok with cats (sometimes interested and sometimes not when in the same room), and loves to play ball outside! She is energetic outside but loves cuddles; she thinks she is a lap dog. She seems to know her name and comes when called. Marcie is crate trained, will give qeues when she has to go potty, She also knows commands: Sit, wait, lay down (almost), paw, come, her name, and drop the ball. Marcie absolutely loves to play with her ball and would love to have her humans play with her! Marcie fetches and returns except when she wants you to play catch me if you can with the ball! Play time has been around ½ hour each time – she lets you know when she is done. She will just lay down! She loves car rides. Marcie has been a good at home office dog and will lay in her bed when her human is working or play by herself with toys or a ball. This sweet girl just wants to be wherever you are and will snuggle right up with you when its night time! Marcie is very smart and has learned very quickly! She greets you when you come home as if you were gone months! She will train well with treats and consistency. She loves being outside and is still getting used to all the different sounds. Stay tuned for more information as Marcie is a new rescue! Stay tuned for more information as Marcie is a new rescue!
