VT Dog Rescue

VT Dog Rescue is a non-profit canine rescue focused on saving the Underdog. The sweet dogs who are passed over day after day simply because they are not perfect. Who is an underdog?- older dogs who are wise and love to snuggle- tri-pawed dogs who are happily enjoying life with 3 legs- shy dogs who need a little extra love to help them build confidence - dogs who may limp or have a physical limitation that humans see as a flaw, but they accept with dignity - dogs who are missing an eye and have adapted to navigate their world The Underdogs have, against all odds, retained their ability to be loyal and trusting companions who love us unconditionally. We believe the Underdogs, just like other shelter dogs, deserve to be rescued and placed in loving, responsible homes where they can shine.

Meet Lolli

Meet Lolli! This sweet girl is about 8 months old, spayed, and ready to find her forever home. Lolli is highly intelligent and active—she will do best with a fenced in yard, active lifestyle, and lots of rounds of fetch. Lolli is incredibly playful and will play with whoever is around her! She is learning dog boundaries and body language as she plays with other dogs as well as typical puppy behaviors like jumping and mouthing around people. Due to her energy level and developing training, we recommend a home without young children. Lolli has never shown signs of aggression towards children; however, she may accidentally knock them over or play too rough. In a home with cats, Lolli is interested in going up to them but does not chase and responds well to cat cues to back away. Lolli does best with copious outdoor time, puzzle toys, training activities, walks, and positive praise and attention. We recommend an experienced dog owner in the family to help Lolli learn manners and become a good doggy citizen. She has a huge jump on potty training and has never had an accident in her foster home with a fenced in yard. Lolli is crate trained and sleeps through the night. The crate is a positive place for Lolli and helps her settle. We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in her genetic background. We highly recommend training classes for all of our dogs to get everyone off to a great start. Training recommendations are available. Our adoption fee is $400 which includes age-appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, and Rabies), neutering, worming, microchipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming, and similar dog-related products and services are provided. Thank you for your interest in Lolli—she is a special girl!
