Across America Boxer Rescue

Our Rescue is an all volunteer effort to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxer dogs. When Boxers are in need, Across America Boxer Rescue's dedicated volunteers respond. Our mission includes hands-on rescue, as well as education. Our rescue is dedicated in helping as many Boxers that have had a very "ruff" start for whatever reason. All Boxers that come into our rescue will be examined by our vet, brought up to date on vaccines, heart worm tested, (placed on heart worm preventive medication) and fecal tested, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We will evaluate each Boxer's personality and temperament, so they can be placed in the best home suited for them.

Meet Cleo - ADOPTION PENDING!!

Cleo (short for Cleopatra) was left alone in her home with her daughter Cinder when their owner was arrested.  The girls went several days without food or water and only the comfort of each other and two other dogs in the home.  Cleo is good with other dogs and is the calmer of the two girls.  11/5/19 UPDATE:  Cleo (aka Clover) has moved to her Minnesota foster home after spending some time at board and train learning lots of new and positive things.  She is doing GREAT and continues to improve with meeting new human friends.  She is in need of a foster or adoptive home who is patient and understanding and who will continue to help her be confident and not fearful of new situations and new people.  She has bonded with the pack at her current foster home and has met quite a few new two-legged friends with little to no issues.  We are so proud of our girl!!!  We would like to say THANK YOU to Ram, Daniela, Lindsey & crew at RR Professional Dog Training & Boarding in Carlton & Sturgeon Lake, MN for all of your help with Cleo!!12/8/21 UPDATE:  Cleo has been back with the rescue a while and foster mom & dad have been working with her on her reactivity to people and in new situations.  She will need a VERY understanding, patient and quiet home who will absolutely continue to work with her and understand her quirks and need for continuous structure.  Cleo is currently located in Minnesota and due to her temperament/personality and to keep her stress level down, we will not transport her more than a few hours from her current location.  Thank you for understanding!10/1/22 UPDATE:  This beautiful girl will be staying right where she is as a forever foster.  Cleo is available for sponsorship to cover the cost of her monthly preventatives, annual vetting, and any other medical/vetting needs that could arise.  Thank you!!!
