Name: Luna Loos Age: DOB 10/12/2015 Gender: Female Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi Weight: 24 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: TBD Kid friendly: TBD House Trained: In progress Crate Trained: TBD Energy level: Moderate History: Owner surrender Adoption Fee: $400 From the Foster: Luna is a sweet, cuddly, loving girl would do best in a quiet home with someone who is home a lot. She would not do well with children. She craves physical closeness and would ideally have a buddy to cuddle up with or be able to cuddle with her human often. She is absolutely the sweetest little girl and has so much love to give her forever family! Luna is an owner surrender whose family tried hard for over 2 years, but struggled with house training and finally decided Luna needed a different type of environment to be successful. Luna has struggled with this for a couple reasons. She was originally a from a commercial breeder so the sounds and textures and literally everything associated with outside continues to be very overwhelming for her. The last thing on her mind when she gets out there is going potty. Her foster home is working in a supportive way to make outside fun and build her confidence that this is a safe place for her. She has started to excitedly race out to the yard for some pets before hurrying back to the safety of the deck! With this work she has only had 2 accidents and only when the foster was either not home or couldn't follow the schedule. Only applicants willing and able to continue this work in a positive and supportive manner will be considered. Second, she is a submission peer. If you'd had as many babies as she has, I bet you'd leak a little when you get nervous too ;-) This isn't a forever thing and will subside as she gains confidence, but want to be upfront that carpet is not her friend. She loves adults and has been surprisingly brave about approaching visitors for pets and love, but does not like a lot of coming and going. She likes a nice routine! She has not barked yet, even when the other dogs get riled, so don't anticipate her being a big barker. She loves going to Ollu to get groomed and prettied up and all that undercoat taken out. Luna is a smart girl who is very food-motivated, open to learning and loving and finding her new best friend(s).
