These medications cost around $120 each month.  3/11/2024 Foster Feedback:  Nyx is a creature of habit and honestly hasn't changed much in the time we've had her. She is potty trained.  Nyx can function in a crate but hates it and doesn't need to be crated when we're gone.  Nyx would do well with older children.  Nyx does ok in a car ok but she shakes like crazy; however, that's just the way she is with anything that's not being home and laying on her chair. Nyx loves walks.  She does pull a little but any adult would be fine walking her on a leash.  Nyx is starting to lose her hearing and site a little but is still as spunky and ornery as ever.  She is not much for playing with toys. She works from home with me and spends most of her day perched on the back of her chair watching the neighborhood. 10/30/2023 Foster Feedback:  Nyx likes to lounge on the back of her chair and gaze out the window during the day while I work.  But once my husband gets home, she's ready for play time. She's prancy and wants to do all her tricks so she can get some treats. Which she loves! She is very treat motivated and is smart as a whip. She can sit, lay down, twirl and shake. She's an old dog but could definitely learn some new tricks.  She still loves to go for walks. Nyx likes to check the backyard and if she sees a squirrel or rabbit will chase it. She has yet to catch one though. She's not quite as quick as she thinks! She takes her medication like an old pro. She prefers to be the only dog in the house and doesn't really like to share with cats either. And older considerate children are a must as she might run off if the door is open too long. 10/30/2023 Temporary Care Feedback: I had Nyx a few weekends ago. She loves going on walks and does great on a leash. She enjoys treats and takes her medication well. She didn't have any accidents in the house. We let her sleep in the bed, since she is not crate trained and didn't like it at all. She doesn't bark much, only to alert us that someone was near the yard.  08/23/2023 Temporary Care Feedback: I was able to babysit Nyx for a weekend in the summer and we had such a good time together. I live in an apartment and she did not bark or notice any noise in the hallways. She is also still so spry! She loved going on walks with me and sniffing all the new smells. She was not bothered anytime we saw the turkeys or even other dogs on the other side of the road. She's not much of a cuddler, but has to be by your side at all times. She was able to free roam while I was at work, but definitely needs potty breaks throughout the day due to her old age. She does take medications and it requires a bit of coaxing, but does it like a champ! 11/10/2022 Foster Feedback: For a mature lady, Queen Nyx is very prancy. She loves to prance around the backyard making sure everything is safe for her people. When she comes in, she loves to do a trick so that she can have a treat. She knows when it's time to eat, she knows when it's time for her medicine, and she definitely knows when it's time to go to bed. And she will let you know. Nyx is a wonderful little lady and would be the perfect partner for a retired couple or a retired individual. She needs a backyard to get a little bit of exercise. She does like to walk, but she's a puller. She prefers to be the queen of the house. She prefers a house with no other dogs or small children. Consider giving this girl a chance to show you how much love she has to give.   7/7/22 Foster Feedback: This cute little Jack Russell Terrier may be a senior citizen, but she has lots of get-up-and-go! Some of Nyx’s favorite things are patrolling the fence perimeter for intruders, performing tricks for treats, charming visitors, and inspecting all packages that come to the house to make sure they’re safe for you! Her daily routine is sitting on the back of the couch watching her human work, napping, watching the birds, bunnies, and squirrels, laying in the sun…and taking yet another nap. Nyx is looking for a retirement home where she is the only pet as she is a bit of a diva and doesn’t want to share you with any other animals. She is good with older considerate kids (7+ yrs. old), but as a one-der, her adoptive home needs to have a fenced-in yard. Nyx has tons of personality and love to give, is totally house trained, and doesn’t need to be kenneled. Little Nyx has been waiting literally years for her person to find her and take her home forever. Let’s finally turn little Nyx into the Cinderella she deserves to be! 2/6/21 Foster Feedback: Nyx had a great time at the meet and greet. She loved showing off her tricks, for treats of course. She pranced around like the queen she is! She's the cutest little thing and everyone fell in love with her.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
