Meet SABLE

Our beautiful girl is called Sable and she is a 18 month old pure bred Norwegian Elkhound sweetheart that is looking for a home. This little girl was formerly owned by a breeder who had too many litters arrive and then she had too many dogs to find homes for During the pandemic.  Some did not get adopted and she was left with many puppies growing up to be adults and not adopted. Our girl Sable is about 45 pounds and is sweet as a dog can be.  She is on the shy side at first because she has never been out and about To meet and experience new things in the world.   She and her sister have been living outside most of the time until recently and she Is now accustomed to house manners and still trying to get herself 100% housebroken.  That will come with a little more time and patience. This girl is the most loving girl ever and she is wonderful with other dogs and even cats.  During this photo shoot she was wonderful and Pretty at ease for a dog that had NEVER left the breeder homestead where she was born. She had just been at the vet’s office and spayed With a dismissal the house before the photo shoot.  We were amazed at her ability and ease to smile and appear to be happy in front of the camera soon after her spay surgery.   This girl has not lived a life of pampering but we have promised her that she will be in the future. She so deserves a family of her own and this wonderful Norwegian Elkhound breed is so very loyal and intelligent with a heavy emphasis of being very family oriented. This beauty is a show stopper- absolutely gorgeous when she’s feeling comfortable. Please email us at [email protected] if you are interested. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.

Adoption Process
All potential adoptors must complete the application request form on any dog. Before placing a dog with an adoptor Critter Companion conducts a vet check to ensure proper health, gets the dog up to date on all shots and neuters the dog.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
