Twenty Paws Rescue

Twenty Paws Rescue founders, Linda and Rachel, share one common objective and passion. Every day they battle an ongoing epidemic plaguing our streets, the abundance of forgotten homeless, abused, and surrendered animals. Twenty Paws, a small rescue, is only able to bring their ambitious dreams to fruition with the help of an exceptional and dedicated team of volunteers, fosters, donors, and adopters. Tirelessly, the Twenty Paws team utilizes their boundless devotion to provide all Twenty Paws animals with warm and loving care until they find a forever home, including foster and veterinary care.Even though the Twenty Paws focuses primarily on the “bully” breeds, they are not a breed specific rescue. Twenty Paws provides refuge and unconditional love to dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, sex, and temperament. Linda and Rachel strive to provide all Twenty Paws animals and families with the ideal match and safest environment possible. Furthermore, they have the strength inside to fight every minute. Until every shelter cage is empty, Twenty Paws will continue to be their voice.Twenty Paws Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization. All donations and contributions to the rescue are tax-deductible.

Meet Tyson

Tyson is a 3-year-old, 100 lb Akita. With a heart filled with love, his spirit is unbreakable. Despite a rough start to life—he was found tied to a chain and living in a shed—Tyson shows unstoppable resilience and kindness. This gentle, fluffy giant is friendly with both dogs and people. However, in our care, Tyson has not lived with other dogs. Tyson ensured too much in his short life. Luckily, he never let his adversities change his sweet, trusting nature. Tyson is a wonderful companion. With the right family, his big handsome, social, affectionate, goofball of a bear will shine.  Tyson is housebroken, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. He loves to play with toys and go for car rides. He would thrive in an Akita-experienced or open-to-learning home! Tyson just wants guidance and attention. He loves his humans unconditionally and hopes to find someone just as devoted to him. Due to his size and playful nature, Tyson should go to an adult-only home or one with older and dog-savvy teens/young adults.  If you’re looking for a loyal, loving friend to join your home, Tyson could be the perfect fit. Don’t wait—this incredible boy needs you now! If interested in adopting Tyson, please complete an application on our website at https://www.twentypawsrescue.com/forms-applications/ or email us at [email protected].
