Meet Bodie

Meet Bodie!   Located in Raleigh, NC but open to new homes in different states along the east coast.     Bodie, a spirited and adventurous 13-month-old boy looking for his forever home! Recently surrendered by his previous owner, Bodie was fortunate to be taken in by a local foster, saving him from shelter life. Now, he’s thriving in a foster home, where he's showing his loving, energetic nature.    Bodie is neutered and up-to-date on all his vaccinations. He absolutely **loves** being outdoors, entertaining himself with balls, frisbees, and basketballs. Water is another favorite; he enjoys splashing in baby pools and little streams. We haven't tested his swimming skills yet, but he’s always ready for water fun! He would enjoy sports like FastCat, scent work, barnhunt and maybe dock diving.!    While Bodie is still learning leash manners and can be a bit strong on walks, he’s improving every day and he LOVES long walks. Regular exercise is helping him trim down to a healthy weight. In his foster home, Bodie lives with cats and several male dogs. He gets along well with dogs of different personalities, although he might be a bit too rambunctious for older dogs. Bodie does chase cats but hasn’t shown any aggressive behavior towards them.    Despite not being kennel trained initially, Bodie has made impressive progress and is learning to settle in his crate. He would thrive in a home with someone who enjoys outdoor activities and is committed to continuing his training both indoors and outdoors. Bodie is eager to bond with a loving owner who will provide structure, firm boundaries, and plenty of fun. Bodie has a playful side, sometimes taking shoes or socks, so keeping an eye on him is essential.    He’s been around older children and, while not aggressive, his exuberance might accidentally knock over a small child. Overall, Bodie is a sweet, active boy who escaped the fate of an overcrowded shelter and is now living his best life. He’s ready to find a permanent home where he can continue to learn and grow.   If you’re looking for a loyal, adventurous companion, Bodie is the perfect match!
