Hearts United for Animals

Hearts United for Animals is a Smithsonian Award winning, state-of-the-art no-kill shelter and sanctuary dedicated to relieving the suffering of domestic animals. HUA has rescued over 12,000 dogs from puppy mills, provided low cost spay/neuter services for over 14,000 patients, and offers temporary housing for animals of families fleeing domestic violence. We have placed thousands of cats and dogs in wonderful new homes across the country through our JetSet Dogs program. The Proud Pets Program provides free veterinary care for the beloved pets of previously homeless veterans. With your support, we continue with these very important missions of mercy that save precious lives and heal broken hearts.

Meet Rockwell

If you're looking for an amazing family dog Rockwell is it. This handsome boy was found alone in a shipping yard in Texas. He went from Animal Control to a temporary foster home where he blended right in and showed his best self. Since he has been with us at HUA we have gotten to know Rockwell and he is as good as they get. He is fun and playful, affectionate and sweet, and he loves humans and playing with the other dogs, He enthusiastically chases his toys but he has not quite figured out to bring them back. He thinks it is awesome to watch the humans fetch them for him. Rockwell does well on his leash but he is quite exuberant on his walks - he just knows there is something super fun around the corner. He is just a great dog. Any family will be lucky to have such a devoted pup. Visit Rockwell at www.hua.org!
