ROOSTER NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Rooster and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (02/16) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!   Name:   Rooster          Best Guess for Breed:   Chihuahua and Terrier mix  Best Guess for Age:   1 year as of Jan. 2025          SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   13 lbs   Gets Along With:    Other dogs! We haven’t seen Rooster with cats or kids, but he can be tested!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - Rooster needs a foster or adopter to make his way to the DC area   Special adoption considerations:    We would be cautious placing Rooster in a home with children under 12 years old because young kids can often scare small breed dogs with their level of energy or noise.  Children would need to be supervised closely to ensure their interactions with the dog are calm and gentle in nature.  We would be happy to discuss this more in depth with any applicant.   Rooster is Looking For:    This tiny but mighty 13-lb Chihuahua mix is ready to strut his way into your heart! With his unique brindle coat and big personality, Rooster is as charming as they come. He may be small, but he’s full of love and confidence! Adoption Process
1. Complete Adoption Application 2. Phone interview, vet check and home visit. 3. Contract signed (requirements include keeping a pet ID on dog at all times, keeping the dog as a pet, spaying/neutering puppies by 6 monts of age, returning the pet to Lucky Dog in the adopter cannot take care of it at any point in the future, and providing adequate vet care for the rest of the dog's life.
