Meet Simba

Simba and Nala came to us recently. They had been in the shelter since their were 9 weeks old! Their brother got adopted, and they were looked over time and time again! Simba and Nala are almost 7 months old. They weigh 45 and 35/40 lbs, much smaller than they look. We did do a DNA on Nala to find out for sure, but our best guess are terrier mixes. Nala is outgoing, Simba is shy at first. Althoug Simba seems to be okay with other dogs, he prefers people. They are both going to need a patient home and willing to do not only house training, but obedience training as they only know shelter life! Both just want to please you, so that shouldn't be hard! We are still getting to know them and will share more as we know. These babies are so sweet, loving, and cuddly! They have a lot of love to give! They do not have to be adopted together If you would like to give Simba a forever home, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org   SIMBA'S ADOPTION FEE IS $170

Adoption Process
First, we do ask that an application be filled out on the animal the person is interested in. Once approved, we can set up to meet the animal, which will already be vetted (spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested, etc.). The fee for adoption starts at $125. There is a contract that also needs signed at the time of adoption.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
