Meet Nova

Nova is a senior beagle girl that LOVES boxes! At the mature age of 10 years old, she was surrendered by her owner because she was having difficulties giving birth.  A c-section was required to save her life, but her owner told our veterinarian to euthanize her, as he'd rather spend the money that the c-section cost to get a "good hunting dog".  Our veterinarian didn't want to do that, so they called us, and we agreed to pay for the c-section and take her in if the owner was willing to surrender her.  He was! She has now recovered from her surgery, and is a happy, sweet, gentle girl, ready for a home in which she can spend the rest of her days in comfort.  She's great with the cats and other dogs in her foster home, and we are pretty sure she would be good with children.  Even though she is classed as "senior", she is still ALL beagle -- and wants to run, chasing rabbits and squirrels, so a securely fenced yard is an absolute requirement.  She is working on  house-training (being inside is new to her). Nova has learned to use the doggie door in her foster home.

Adoption Process
The adoption process consists of the adopters meeting the animals, filling out a bit of paper work, verification of adoption application information, paying the adoption fee, and agreeing to a post-placement home visit. The adoption fees are: $120 for dogs/puppies older than 6 months and $150 for puppies under 6 months old. Cats/kittens are $85. The adoption agreement is legally binding.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
