Sweet Dream House Rescue

Sweet Dream House Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit, no kill, all volunteer, all breed animal rescue. We utilize a network of foster homes for pets ready for adoption. Our mission is to rescue homeless and abandoned animals, to spay/neuter, vaccinate and provide any needed medical care until they are adopted into loving homes. We are often the rescue of last resort, waiting until other rescues select from the euthansia lists to rescue those that are not selected.

Meet Olaf 2025

Darling puppies ELSA and OLAF, 15ish week old beagle mixes, are ready for furever homes! They are playful and sweet and cuddly. These cutie pies are the two surviving pups of beagle mama Anastasia. Mom and pups were living outdoors, mama on a chain doing her best to protect her babies in the middle of the deadly deep freeze in January. Mama Anastasia is a 20ish pound beagle with an absolutely divine disposition. We have no idea what daddy may have been but our best guess is a Boston Terrier-type mix. Olaf is currently 9 pounds and Elsa is 7 pounds and we anticipate they will remain small dogs, Elsa will probably remain under 20 pounds and Olaf will probably be around 20 pounds when fully grown. Mama Anastasia has already found a home. Elsa is a cuddlebug. She loves to be held and snuggled and happily follows her people everywhere. Olaf is a sweet people-oriented pup as well, but he also loves outdoor adventures, chasing sticks and fetching balls. They are fostered with another dog and a cat and are perfectly fine with both. Both are doing very well with crate training. These little warriors beat the deadly Parvo virus., then went through their viral "shed" period, a few weeks when parvo pups continue to shed the virus despite having recovered. It's a period of isolation because they can still infect other unvaccinated dogs and contaminate their environment. After their shed period was completed, they went to a wonderful foster home for some weeks of much needed socialization and love. Elsa and Olaf are ready to find the happy lives they fought so hard for. They need homes in the greater Cincinnati/Tristate area in order to complete their pre-adoption vetting. Elsa and Olaf will go to homes on a trial basis, their adoptions will be finalized when their vetting is complete. If you'd like to meet Elsa or Olaf, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Elsa and Olaf at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.   Elsa and Olaf will go to adoptive homes on a trial basis. Their adoptions will be finalized when they complete their puppy vetting. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
