Meet Beau in CT - pending

You can see more beautiful dogs by visiting our Adoptable Dogs page. Are you looking for a loving 'beau' to be your furever best friend? This wonderfully handsome and fluffy boy, Beau, may be pyrfect for you! Beau has the best pyrsonality - he easily befriends all human beings who happen to cross his path, and how can you not fall in love with him when he has such a charming smile? This big boy knows his basic cues and has an excellent recall - it's even more exceptional if you happen to have a treat or two in your pocket :) Beau is very easy-going and plays well with other dogs and puppies. Speaking of play, his all-time favorite activity is to splash around in his pool and/or play with his large assortment of toys. Beau gets along fine with cats and has been doing great in doggie day care - his foster says that he is a doll! Just like many of our rescues, Beau is not a big fan of unexpected loud noises (e.g., fireworks, thunderstorms), but he is learning that he will come to no harm in his loving home. All in all, Beau is a low maintenance boy who will thrive with a healthy dose of affection and love. If you open your heart to this boy, we have no doubt Beau will become your most loyal 'beau' for years to come!  NGPR Pooch Profile Name: Beau in CT Age: 4 yrs 9 mos old as of Apr 2023 Color: white fluffy coat Dew Claws: double dew claws Estimated Adult Weight: 100-110 lbs Current Location: NGPR approved foster in Thompson, CT Medical: Neutered, dewormed, negative for heartworm, up-to-date on vaccinations and currently on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. If you can't foster or adopt at this time, please consider helping our Neediest Cases or making a tax-exempt donation by visiting our Donate page. Please complete the adoption application and visit nationalpyr.org to learn more about Pyrs and our adoption process. National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a non-profit, tax-exempt rescue who has been rescuing the breed for 15 years.  Visit nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed. More Information: Questions? The fastest way to learn more about a dog is to fill out our online application. If you call or e-mail you are reducing your chances of adopting this animal as we direct our time and energy to first serving those who apply.  We have many Pyrs and Pyr mixes who need homes and not all of them are posted.
