Meet KOBBIE

Kind Kobbie has the heart of a gentle giant and is looking for a gentle and kind home to call his very own.  At just 2 years of age and 75 pounds, this boy is a Great Dane mix but he certainly looks mostly DANE!  He is not 100% because his size is just not there.  With everything that he has gone through, Kobbie is full of love for people and has a great personality of with a hint of being a gentle soul. At first, Kobbie can be a little timid and protective, but once he gets to know you and trust is shown, he slowly becomes more comfortable. He came from an abusive home where the young toddler was allowed to walk all over Kobbie and the parents did not stop the child from disrupting Kobbie in his resting state.  Instead Kobbie became very fearful of the small child who had no respect for his boundaries and he would then growl and get up to move.  The father proceeded to abuse Kobbie and hit him.  We took this poor dog out of that terrible environment and he is just fine with the older children in the foster home.  This boy loves his walks around the neighborhood and is great on a leash.  He adores lots of cuddles and loving attention. Kobbie’s ability to be with other animals has been tested from all angles and he would do best in a household where he is either the only dog or he can exist with one other dog. He does not do well with rough play and being jumped on by another exuberant dog.  This boy is all about “gentle” actions in his home.   What we love is that he is good with cats which is a PLUS! Cat Safe is what we call him.  Kobbie is house-trained and smart, listening very well to commands. He does well with kids 6 and older as long as they are gentle with him. This dog is an amazing boy and needs a family that understands the Great Dane breed and will embrace him with a depth of breed understanding and who fits with his personality.   Kobbie is ready NOW for the right home.  What a handsome boy he will be to walk with you in life!  Please contact us at [email protected] if you are interested.
