Meet Kobe 2024

KOBE is an adorable, gentle little mixed breed boy looking for a home. This sweet-faced boy is 3ish years old and fully grown at just 17 pounds. He's probably a mish-mash of breeds -- maybe some combination of chihuahua, beagle, Jack Russell terrier, rat terrier, dachshund. Who knows? Whatever the mix, Kobe is absolutely adorable. It's taken some time for Kobe to come out of his shell and reveal his darling personality. He's fun and sweet, great with cats and other dogs. He loves attention and cuddles. He loves playing with his fur siblings in his foster home. Kobe loves going for long walks and has lovely leash manners. He's still timid in new situations and when meeting new people, but he's gaining confidence every day. Kobe prefers women over men, but he will bond with a man who takes the time to earn his trust. He would make a perfect work-from-home office mate. Kobe's ideal home would have a friendly confident dog sibling. He's best suited to a quieter home with no young kids. Kobe is housebroken and crate trained. If you'd like to meet Kobe, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Kobe at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.

Adoption Process
We offer Foster To Adopt for dogs adoptions. You must complete the application, be approved and pay a $100 deposit ($150 puppies). You can then take the dog home for a trial visit of up to one week This will help you determine if you and the dog are the right match. If yes, then you can finalize the adoption. If no, then you return the dog to us and you are welcome to try a different dog. complete the necessary paperwork and pay a $100 deposit for adult dogs and $150 for puppies (cash, check or credit card). This fee is non-refundable, and will be applied to the adoption fee if you decide to finalize the adoption. The adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter surgery, parvo/distemper shots and rabies shots (for dogs over 6 months), deworming, microchipping, flea and tick protection, heartworm testing (for dogs over 6 months), and monthly heartworm protection until the dog gets adopted.
