Meet Luci

This is Luci! Luci's owner contacted us asking us if we could take her. We are actually pretty full, but her owner, who lives alone, is terminally ill and no longer able to care for her. She was originally saved by the owner when he took her in when neighbors left her, so the pair had bonded. Many tears were shed when we picked her up by both the owner and us. We made a promise to the owner that he no longer had to worry about what would happen with her, and we would find her a happy forever home. We do continue to reach out and check on the owner. Luci was adopted, but unfortunately was returned due to change in family circumstances that couldn't be helped. They loved her a lot. Luci is 7 years old and is believe to be a Lab/Coonhound mix. Luci LOVES people. We have tested her some with cats and she did okay and her first test with dogs went well.  We encourage slow introductions and see how it goes.  Luci is calm, but also loves to interact, play and go for walks. If you would like take Luci a part of your family, fill out an application at LUCI'S ADOPTION FEE IS $170.

Adoption Process
First, we do ask that an application be filled out on the animal the person is interested in. Once approved, we can set up to meet the animal, which will already be vetted (spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heart worm tested, etc.). The fee for adoption starts at $125. There is a contract that also needs signed at the time of adoption.

Look for other dogs for adoption!
