Ash is a super sweet boy that is often misunderstood by potential adopters. He is very high energy and does not like to be locked in a kennel. He loves to run around and play, especially if there are other dogs or water around. Although he has a lot of energy, he also likes to cuddle with you and get attention. He is our longest resident having been here collectively 410 days. Although he was transferred out and adopted after being at our shelter for 167 days, he was surrendered again due to no fault of his own. He then was here again for 219 days before being adopted to an older lady. He again was returned because he wanted to be with his owner all the time that she kept tripping over him. He is a very smart boy that learns quickly and is very food motivated.
Adoption Process
Adopters are required to complete a three page adoption application/agreement and within the form, adopters must list their veterinarian and current pets. All pets (cats, dogs, horses and ferrets) in the home or on the property must be current on the rabies vaccine before an application is approved.
Adopters must also provide information about their living status - if they rent or own as some rental properties do not allow animals, specific breeds or species, and have gender or weight restrictions.
