Meet Timber

Timber is a very special young man looking for a special home. Timber was found as a stray at only 5 weeks old and weighing just 5 pounds. He was underweight, had a heart murmur, a large overbite and is deaf. He has gained weight nicely and has outgrown the heart murmur. Timber is very smart and is learning sign language. He knows sit, lay down and is working on on stay and look at me. All by hand signals. Timber will need an experienced adopter. No small children or any type of small animal. He does well with dogs his size. He needs a slow feeder bowl as he eats too fast. He needs to be fed separately and caution must be taken when he has a bone. He would do best with a dog his size to keep him company, to play with and to learn from. He must have a secure 6 foot fenced yard and be supervised at all times when outside to keep him safe. Timber needs a loving, patient and committed adopter(s) that will be home a good portion of the time and that will commit to train him appropriately. Deaf dogs are known as "velcro" dogs as they are always looking to you for guidance. If you feel you are a good fit for this amazing guy, please fill out an application at www.hfaccr.org   Adoption fee is $350 COLORADO ADOPTION ONLY
