Animal Rescue of the Rockies

ARR was formed in 2003 to provide an alternative to shelter environments for homeless dogs and cats. By providing foster homes as a temporary measure until forever homes can be found, our pets are socialized and cared for individually.

Meet Stevie Nicks

Percolating with puppy spirit and spunk, 10-month-old Stevie Nicks ignites her foster home with her paws-itive energy. At 25 pounds and still growing, she’s sweet and social, loves snuggling and cuddling with her fosters and resting her head on them, while, at the same time, discovering how marvelous mellow can be. She also loves going for walks, improving her leash skills daily, playing fetch, chewing bones and wrestling and running around the yard with her various doggy foster friends. Co-existing alongside the resident cats, and having once lived with young children, she’s motivated by food, love and toys, currently knows “sit,” enjoys all treats and is learning to accept them more gently.  Now all Stevie needs is an especially active home with a securely fenced yard, preferably with an equally active dog, and loving adopters to complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that she’s kept mentally stimulated and physically satisfied fur-ever.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $345.  Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email  [email protected]  for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time.
