Cenla Cat Project

My husband, myself, and a friend have seen a need for a cat rescue in our area. My husband and I are both retired (he was a dba and I was a guidance counselor). We are just starting out. We plan to start with adoptions. All cats must be fully vetted (spay/neuter is essential) before they can be adopted. Education about spay/neuter and cat care are a big part of our agenda. We have our 501 (c)(3). Our adoption program is foster based. We hope to have a shelter/adoption center in the next 2 years. We have been working with another local rescue for 3 years whose emphasis is dogs. We see a real need for a cat rescue in the area and are trying to make an impact on cat over-population.

Meet Millie

Meet Millie. An adorable 3-month-old tabby kitten, a bundle of joy and energy who is ready to find her forever home! Spoiled since birth as a bottle baby, she was abandoned at just 1 week old and has grown into a playful, loving little sweetheart. She adores cuddles and snuggles and will happily curl up in your lap after a busy day of playing. This kitty is the perfect family pet or companion, thriving on attention and affection.  Her favorite pastimes include climbing cat towers, chasing crinkle balls and track toys, and playing with her siblings. She also loves sneaking into closets and napping in sunny spots around the house. This kitten must be kept indoors, and declawing is prohibited by contract. If you're looking for an affectionate, fun, and energetic companion, this sweet tabby is ready to fill your home with love and purrs!

Adoption Process
Potential adopters must complete an application and sign a contract. They must agree to provide care for the cat, not to declaw it, and return it to us if unable to care for it. In general, the adoption fee will be $100, it may be less for older cats.
